Snakes, spiders, scorpions, etc...

Some things that I do not like:

1. Snakes
2. Spiders
3. Scorpions

I noticed that they all begin with the letter "s". So if I would have letter of the alphabet that I like the least that would be the letter "s." Most definitely!!

When I first came to Arizona, I thought for sure that it was over runned (is this actually a word??) with snakes, spiders, and scorpions. I knew that they were all waiting for me, just waiting to jump out at me. I was real nervous about that. Then I had a friend from Bullhead City who gave me wise advice and I gave it over to the Lord. He made them. I just asked the Lord to keep them out of my way.

I was given other advice about how to keep scorpions away. One was to have chickens. Umm... I not really big on that idea. My son is trying to wear me down though. I thought wouldn't the scorpions come because of the chickens. The feed and all that goes with it. They aren't as easy as one thinks they are. The other advice was to keep the house sprayed once a month inside and out. That I can live with. Once the food supply (ants and spiders) is killed then the scorpion has no reason to come into the house - unless it simply wants to die!!

Today, I am not as nervous as I first was. I even allow the kids outside! LOL!! We are learning about those "s" and to know which is dangerous and which is not. That way they won't come running in and tell me that they saw this massive spider and not know what it is. I look at it this way. It is a good schooling opportunity in science. They don't even know that it is a good school opportunity. They just like to find the worst one and then discuss it and then try to get me believe that one is lurking in the closet!!!

That was really funny LOL. I'm really happy you were able to give your fear of the "s" things to the Lord.

Hey! Sally begins with "S"... and Saviour and salvation, and some other good things... chocolate Shake, chicken Soup, etc.

Have you seen any of those nasty "s" things lately, or are they hibernating this week? It's cold here!
