WARNING!! Glow-in-the-dark

Have you ever used glow in the dark paint?

My kids and I were working on a project. We had gotten some wooden plaques from Wal-Mart. We painted a picture on them. Then we used the glow in the dark paint to paint in some pictures that only showed up when it was dark. It was a neat project. The only problem I encountered was that when you wash your hands you don't realize the paint is still there. You can't see it so you assume it is gone. So, when I got ready for bed and turned off the lights... wait a minute what is going on here! After a moment, I realized that I had the paint still on my hand. It was pretty cool laying in the dark and moving my fingers.

The second warning is because my son got some pj's that were glow in the dark. During the night he came and woke me up. I was startled at first because the room was dark and I see these dinosaurs moving in the dark. My son thought it was funny.

A Note From Theresa said...

That sounds like a fun project to do with my children. Thanks for the idea, and I'll remember about your warnings ;)
